The great plague of 2020 draws ever nearer. Storms which, for some reason, only seem to work at weekends continue to drench the UK. Richard Burgon is on TV a lot. Dark times. But that’s what cartoon are for: bringing light to the darkest of days.

I’m delighted to report that this month’s selection contains a cartoon that made its way into Private Eye last month. It’s always an honour to feature in the UK’s best selling news and current affairs magazine. It’s the one which opens gallery, featuring Chinese officials’ efforts to stop the spread of [bad news about] the coronavirus.

I’m particularly pleased with this month’s selection as a whole. I enjoyed creating the Volpone cartoon as it took me back to A Level English Lit lessons and I really liked the way the hazmat stockmarket turned out visually.

There’s a few more cartoons I’m very keen to share from this month, but I will need to wait until after their publication before I am able to, so please check back next month. In the meantime, if you require any cartoons to support your business or publication, please don’t hesitate to contact me here.

I hope you enjoy the cartoons.

James.
